Founded by Northern Beaches local Mike Cassidy over a decade ago, Sydney Boat Works has deep roots in boat building.

Mike’s journey in boat construction began early, inspired by his upbringing around boats on the Beaches. By the age of 21, he had already contributed to the construction of more than ten vessels over 75ft, including three Americas’s Cup yachts.

Notably, Mike’s professional journey led to the inception of Palm Beach Motor Yachts, as the lead shipwright on the Palm Beach 32 and 38 builds.

With over three decades of boat-building expertise, Mike and the team at Sydney Boat Works deeply understand vessel construction and take pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and superior customer service.

When not at North Harbour Marina, Mike is busy being the proud custodian of SV Samiel, a 30' sloop that requires a whole lot of varnishing.
